MSG-2 Movie Banned in Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh on Friday became the third state to ban screening the film Messenger of God 2. Last week Chattisgarh and Jharkhand had banned the film calling it as an 'ínsult to tribals'. This is the second movie starring controversial godman Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh of Dera Sacha Sauda sect. The film was released on September 18 across the country on 2000 screens.
Anupam Rajan, spokesperson for the Madhya Pradesh government, told IANS that the decision to ban screening of the Dera Sacha Sauda sect head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's movie 'MSG-2 The Messenger' was taken in the light of remarks on tribals in the film.
